Crime Prevention Tips of the Day and Property Crime on Wed. 11/04/15

1 Vehicle Stolen while left warming up and unattended; large number of tools in vehicle at time of theft.  12800-block of Indian School Road NE.  This is the second ‘warm-up’ auto theft in the Foothills Area Command since the we have entered autumn/winter.  A 100% preventable crime.

2 Residential Burglaries: 13400-block of Pinnacle Court NE, 4000-block of Embudito NE.  Both entries made via breaking windows.  Alert neighbor assisted police with calling in suspicious vehicle/persons from a safe location.  Thank you!

2 Auto Burglaries: 10300-block of Betts NE, 6300-block of Eubank Blvd NE.  Set of golf clubs valued at $1,000 stolen from parked, unattended vehicle in one of our two cases yesterday.  Most burglars will check the trunk, under the seats, in the center console and glove box while they are inside the vehicle — remove all items of value when you park.

Stay safe and practice crime prevention to reduce your odds of being a victim.
