Last night’s “Workshop Wednesday at the Foothills” recap

Thank you to everyone who came out for the September “Workshop Wednesday at the Foothills” session on Crime Prevention for the Home.  We had another full house and one of our Foothills citizens filmed the workshop to post on YouTube.  It was also filmed internally by APD last night so we can explore ways to make the workshops available on demand via public-access platforms.  I will post the link for you when it’s provided to me.

We covered a lot of ground last night:  lighting, landscaping, fencing, front doors, doggie doors, windows, cameras, alarms and answered several questions.  The workshops are fun for me and designed to get you in and out in an hour.  We went over by 4 minutes (again!), but you are contributing great stories and asking good questions during the hour sessions, so I feel that I am right on track with my goal to get you in and out in an hour.

Next month’s “Workshop Wednesday at the Foothills” topic will be Crime Prevention for Women on October 21.  I’ll open up the sign-up process in the next few days; Monday at the latest.  As always, I want to provide you with the information you want to learn about in the crime prevention field and will be exploring a few new topics for 2016’s series and bringing back the topics that are the most in-demand.  Thank you for the support and I’ll post when the October sign-ups are ready and the YouTube link.
