Crime Prevention Tips:  Keep garages closed and secured.  We had a burglary case where the offender entered the garage and stole a vehicle temp tag and a set of golf clubs.  It’s not just the dollar value of items that can be stolen from your garage or your vehicles that you need to be cognizant of, but also that most garages have doors that lead directly into homes.  Most of us never even think to lock the deadbolts on those garage-to-home doors or even have a deadbolt.  Try to think of your garage door as the biggest door to your home and lock up.  Control your environment and you will reduce your odds of being a victim of a criminal.

What is a vehicle temp tag?

    • Good question! That’s the paper tag you see displayed on newly purchased (can be used or clunkers too) vehicles that the owner displays until they get their license plate. Thanks for asking —

a paper tag in the back window. A Temporary Tag. while waiting for the metal one to arrive. Nothing to do with temperature!
