Daily Watch Notes: Property Crime in the Foothills on Tuesday, July 21, 2015

0 Robberies (to Individuals, Businesses, Residences or Vehicles).

0 Commercial Burglaries

1 Stolen Vehicle:  11300-block of Academy Rd NE.

1 Residential Burglary: 5400-block of Overlook Dr NE.

2 Auto Burglaries: 700-block of Stephen Moody; 4900-block of Casa Del Oso.

Crime Prevention Tips: With the exception of one of the auto burglaries yesterday, all of our property crime occurred in the area bordered by Montgomery, Paseo del Norte, Tramway, Eubank.  People continue to leave wallets, drivers licenses, credit and debit cards in unattended vehicles.  A garage was also targeted.  Please help me spread the word to secure garages and to remove all items of value, including anything with your personal information on it, from a vehicle when parking.

If you need help with crime prevention, book a security assessment at your home through me (332-5240), attend one of my monthly crime prevention workshops, attend the monthly Foothills Community Policing Council meetings (see this web site’s Events Calendar) — crime prevention and trends are all discussed at these public sessions.  Consider forming a Neighborhood Watch group and start at the grass roots level a block at a time (call 244-6644 to get a Neighborhood Watch Starter Kit).
