Crime Prevention based on these cases: Lock windows at home (don’t forget bedroom and kitchen windows) and consider additional locks on first floor windows; there are many anti-lift/anti-slide mechanisms on the market you can easily add to prevent a window from being removed from the tracks.

Lock up your vehicles and remove ALL items of value to greatly reduce your odds of being a victim of crime.

Be good witnesses – you see more than you think you do.  Call 242-COPS (2677) from a place where you are safe if you see suspicious behavior on your block.

Consider forming a Neighborhood Watch group – APD Crime Prevention will help you – start by calling Steve Sink at 244-6644.  These groups help your neighborhood and our officers and we will train you on what to watch for and how to report it safely.
