Crime Prevention Tips from these cases:

Fifty percent of the property crime in the Foothills Area Command yesterday was 100% preventable.  Please help me spread the word — citizens must start getting in the habit of locking vehicles, garages and front doors.  Remove all items of value from vehicles when you park — too many people are being needlesly victimized by criminals stealing personal papers, IDs, credit cards, etc from inside vehicles.  These items are stolen to commit additional crime (fraud, forgery, ID theft, etc).  Secure your vehicle keys — vehicles are being stolen with keys left in unattended vehicles.  If you don’t trust a family member, keep your vehicle keys out of sight and secured! Take the extra step to secure your property — you control your own environment and these tips can help you reduce your odds of being a victim of a criminal.
