Daily Watch Notes: Property Crime in the Foothills on Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Robbery (Commercial):  1 on the 12500-block of Central NE.  No car jackings or robberies to individuals or residences.

Stolen Vehicles:  1 on the 11400-block of Golden Gate NE.  Vehicle stolen sometime during the night.

No commercial or residential burglaries.

Auto Burglaries:  4; on the 400-block of Deschutes Street NE, 2000-block of Pleasanton Drive SE, 400-block of Paisano and 1900-block of Brentwood.

Please help your police department, your community and yourself by properly securing and storing firearms.  So far in April, I’ve noticed reports of 2 guns, 1 shot gun and 5 air guns (easily confused for a gun) stolen from vehicles.  This tally of stolen firearms is not including any firearms stolen in residential burglaries.  The potential for stolen weapons being used by criminals to commit violent crimes, finance drug habits/gang activity and the risk of teens or children discovering and playing with firearms that have been left unsecured in a vehicle is grave.  Be a responsible gun owner and properly secure your firearms.
