Daily Watch Notes: Property Crime in the Foothills on Tuesday, March 10th

Robberies to a Business, Residence or Individual:  0

Car Jackings:  2, same offender; one on 12900-block of Central and one on 2400-block of Juan Tabo.

Stolen Vehicles: 2, one on 200-block of Figueroa and one on 1000-block of Tramway.

No ‘warm up’ auto thefts.

Residential Burglaries:  3, one on the 1700-block of Chelwood Park Blvd, one on the 13200-block of Cedarbrook and one on the 3800-block of Big Bend.

Auto Burglaries:  1, on the 13300-block of Central.

Note:  Stay aware of your surroundings.  Scan the scene and people are you — do they look like they have legitimate business/purpose to be in the area?  If things don’t feel ‘right’ or safe to you, leave.  You can always go back another time or with a buddy.  Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by cell phones, over-loaded with parcels or bags, and if you would like an escort to your vehicle at a business, just ask the management/employees.  Awareness of who and what is around you is a great habit to start if you don’t practice ‘situational awareness’ already.
