Daily Watch Notes: Property Crime in the Foothills on March 9, 2015

Robberies:  0 (car jackings, commercial, residential or to an individual).

Stolen Vehicles:  2, one on the 6300-block of Eubank and one on the 4500-block of Morris.

Vehicle Stolen while Warming Up:  1, on the 11000-block of Constitution.

Never leave a vehicle with keys inside, running and unattended.  This type of crime is 100% preventable.

Commercial Burglaries: 0

Residential Burglaries:  3, one on the 600-block of Dorothy, one on the 1100-block of Dorothy and one on the 2400-block of Britt.

Sounds like the residents on Dorothy would benefit from some Neighborhood Watches being formed.  Contact the APD Crime Prevention Manager Steve Sink at 244-6644 to get a Starter Kit to form a Neighborhood Watch or re-start one that may have died out.

Remember to secure your property — including garages.  Try to think of the garage as another door into your home.  I have a flier I posted in February on this web site and nextdoor.com to the Foothills Area Command group and had available in the Foothills substation lobby on Crime Prevention and Garages — I listed tips on how to fortify your property.

Auto Burglaries:  0

Stay safe,
