Daily Watch Notes: Property Crime in the Foothills on Tuesday, 2/17/15

Robberies (Commercial, Residential, to an Individual):  0

Stolen Vehicles: 0

Vehicles Stolen while Warming Up:  0

Commercial Burglary:  0

Residential Burglary:  1, on 12500-block of Montgomery:  2 males stole bicycles that were left unattended at the front or in the open garage of the residence; alert employee from an adjacent business reported this to police.

Auto Burglary:  2, one on the 1700-block of Antonio and one on 10400-block of Montgomery.

One case was not discovered by the vehicle owner for 4 days.  The other case was a ‘smash & grab’ breaking the vehicle window to steal the purse that was left in the vehicle.  Please help us help our community by spreading the word — we have to change the habit of leaving items of value inside unattended vehicles, whether you have locked the vehicle or not.  The new habit to adopt is to remove all items of value from the vehicle when you park.  Just a change of habits can reduce your odds of being a victim of crime.
