“New” Neighborhood Watch Group formed in the Foothills Area Command: Last night residents on Los Padres Street SE in the Willow Wood neighborhood started a Neighborhood Watch group where an existing one has fizzled out. Thanks to Rebecca for organizing, hosting and stepping forward to serve as the point of contact (Block Captain) for the group. The meeting was very well attended and residents came with notes and questions to ask about crime in the area. By this morning, APD Foothills’ teams were already at work tackling issues brought up at last night’s meeting. These groups are so helpful to the block, the overall neighborhood and to local law enforcement. A big thank you goes out to Rebecca and her neighbors for taking a partnership approach with each other and APD.
If you would like information on how to form a Neighborhood Watch or re-ignite one that has fizzled out, contact Laura Kuehn at 256-2050.
