Foothills Area Command weekly crime statistics update

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday. I would like to take this opportunity to share the crime statistics for the last 7 days.

Auto Burglaries: 34 (2 guns stolen from unlocked vehicles)

Stolen Vehicles: 31

Residential Burglaries: 13 (4 guns stolen)

Commercial Burglaries: 2

Important crime tip: If you see anything suspicious at any time, it is best to report it immediately. Also, never leave a weapon in your vehicle. That is a total of 6 guns stolen from vehicles and residences during burglaries in a week.

I would also like to commend the Foothills Impact Unit, Field Officers, and APD Gangs Unit for the capture of Mylin Bill. Now a violent juvenile offender is off the streets and in police custody. That’s a job well done! Please see the following link for more information on this offender: http://krqe.com/2017/12/19/teen-shooting-suspect-arrested-after-swat-situation-to-remain-in-custody/

Stay safe and remember to always be aware of your surroundings. Have a great week! Kaci Currey

Are those crime stats just for the Foothills Area command? Or the entire city?
