Thanks to …. Eastridge Neighborhood Association for hosting a terrific meeting last night and inviting APD Foothills Crime Prevention Specialist, Sgt. Middleton and Officer Harp to come and talk with your residents. Thanks to everyone who attended, brought lists of questions and baked cookies!
Thanks to…Block Captain Jane and the Neighborhood Watch residents on the 4900-block of Glenwood Hills Drive NE for arranging for a group crime prevention lesson at the last “Walk the Block with Jill” session of 2017. It was a pleasure to meet you and share crime prevention tips with you on your own block using your homes as examples of sound crime prevention methods. I will start up the “Walk the Block with Jill” group lessons next year when the weather warms up and we have longer daylight hours.
APD Chaplain Unit’s Operation Hope: The Foothills substation is starting to collect non-perishable food items for families in our Area Command who may miss meals due to the holiday break for school children. We are also able to accept cash, checks (make out to the APD Chaplain Unit), and gift cards to help purchase food for Operation Hope. The Foothills substation can accept donations Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until close of business on Friday, December 1st. Thanks for thinking of these families who may need some extra help over the holiday season. Questions? Please contact APD Chaplain Ann Montoya at (505) 228-5003.
