Property Crime reported over the weekend (9/22-23-24/17) / 2 more guns left in vehicles are gone / We Are Under Construction at the Foothills substation!

We are closed during construction!  The Foothills substation at 12800 Lomas Boulevard NE is closed to the community while we are undergoing construction and the Foothills substation should re-open for community services barring any unexpected construction delays on Monday, October 9th.  The Foothills substation phone number will still be operable so continue to use (505) 332-5240 to reach our front office staff for assistance.

During this time, the community is asked to go to the nearest APD substation, the James Dwyer Substation at 12700 Montgomery Boulevard NE (just east of Tramway off Montgomery) Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for assistance.  You may also go to any APD substation during the time the Foothills substation is closed for assistance.

Locations of APD Substations are available on the City of Albuquerque web site (www.cabq.gov), the Citizens Contact Center (dial 311) or on the APD mobile device app (ABQPolice).

Two more guns are in the hands of criminals:  A 357 Magnum and a 12-gauge shotgun both left inside an unattended vehicle in the Foothills Area Command this weekend…  I cannot say it enough and my readers are probably so tired of seeing this:  Please properly secure your firearms.  Keep a property inventory with the firearm make, model, caliber, serial number and any added features.  When firearms are not in use, securing them prevents accidental shootings and theft of the firearms.
