Trending Tuesday — Ladies and Purses / Property Crimes reported in the Foothills Area Command on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Trending Tuesday:  Ladies and purses — beware — those big purses are making you big targets.  Pare down to the essentials when you are out running errands.  We have had two reports of women pushed down for their purses in the Foothills Area Command this month.  Be aware of your surroundings, who is around you and take a scan before you hop out of that car to be safer.  It’s best to only carry the essentials for your errand.

 

Here are the property crimes reported in the Foothills Area Command yesterday:

2 Robberies/Commercial:  13400-block of Lomas Blvd NE, 12200-block of Academy Rd NE.

1 Individual Robbed:  2200-block of Martha St NE: 1305 hr.

5 Stolen Vehicles:  11000-block of Central NE, 200-block of Western Skies SE, 200-block of Burma SE, 12700-block of Singing Arrow SE, 12900-block of Central Ave NE.

3 Residential Burglaries:  12900-block of Carrie Pl SE, 13100-block of Wenonah SE, 13000-block of Constitution NE.

5 Auto Burglaries:  500-block of Elizabeth SE,  12000-block of Skyline Rd NE, 13100-block of Wenonah SE, 13400-block of Menaul (Embudo Canyon Trail Head parking), 5000-block of Arroyo Chamisa Rd NE.  Entries were by damaging locks, breaking windows and leaving vehicles unlocked.  Items stolen:  wallet, base ID badge, military ID, credit card, cash, damaged steering column causing damages to the vehicle; vehicle registration; stereo; wallet, cash, placard, credit and debit card;  clothing.
