Independence Day / Community Policing Council Meeting / Crime over the Weekend / 3 Guns Stolen from Vehicles

Independence Day:  In observation of Independence Day the Foothills Substation will be closed on Tuesday, July 4.  The substation will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5th.

Reminder:  The Foothills Community Policing Council meeting is coming up on Monday, July 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Park Community Center.  Community members are invited and encouraged to attend and participate.

Property Crime reported in the Foothills Area Command on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 30, July 1 and July 2):

7 Armed Robberies/ Commercial:  600-block of Juan Tabo Blvd NE, 700-block of Juan Tabo NE, 11100-block of Menaul Blvd NE, 11200-block of Menaul Blvd NE, 11300-block of Juan Tabo Blvd NE, 4700-block of Tramway, 12500-block of Montgomery Blvd NE.

1 Robbery/To An Individual:  3100-block of Jane Pl NE.

5 Auto Thefts:  12800-block of El Vado Ct NE, 2900-block of Palo Duro NE, 11500-block of Candelaria NE, 9900-block of Academy Rd NE, 3700-block of Inca NE.

3 Residential Burglaries:  200-block of Western Skies SE, 1400-block of Mary Ellen Rd NE, 3600-block of Pitt St NE.

22 Auto Burglaries:  900-block of Calle Coronado NE, 12900-block of Carrie Pl SE, 13200-block of Central NE, 12800-block of Lomas Blvd NE, 10300-block of Stovall Pl NE, 10400-block of Gloria Pl NE, three separate incidents on the 11000-block of Hannett Ave NE, 3100-block of Lori Place NE, 13300-block of Tierra Montenosa Dr NE, two separate incidents on the 1100-block of Landman Dr NE, two separate incidents on the 12400-block of Princess Jeanne NE, 2300-block of Monte Largo NE, 2700-block of Mary Ellen, 13500-block of Sierra Bonita NE, 3900-block of Pitt St NE, 3400-block of Embudito Dr NE, 3800-block of Pitt St NE, 12200-block of Vienna Dr NE.

Items stolen:  Bicycle left in bed of pick up truck.  Rifle left in unattended vehicle. 2 suitcases, clothing, tools, GPS, sunglasses, shoes, shopping bags, food.  Tools and phone charger.  Two jackets.  City employee badge, laptop and parking pass.  Tools and charger.  Steering wheel cover, license plate and failed attempt to steal vehicle caused damage to vehicle.  Failed attempt to steal vehicle; left damages to vehicle interior.  Large number of expensive work tools.  Remington 12 gauge shotgun.  Tools and tool bags.  Purse and contents.  Firearm, 40 caliber, Social Security card, vehicle registration and insurance.  Tools.

Entries:  Unlocked vehicles, smash & grabs (breaking window to steal items left inside vehicles), prying open doors and camper shells.
