April’s Foothills Community Policing Council meeting:  Monday, April 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Holiday Park Community Center at 11710 Comanche Road NE.  These public meetings are held on the second Monday each month, same time, same location every month unless otherwise noted.  Agendas and minutes are posted on the City of Albuquerque web site in the Community Policing section, www.cabq.gov/police.  Questions can be directed to the APD Community Outreach Team’s Celina Espinoza or Nicole Chavez-Lucero at (505) 768-2463.

 

Posts in April:  I will be out of the office the first two weeks of April, so you will not see daily posts from me from Friday, March 31 until the week of April 17th.  If you want to track crime in your area, please refer to www.crimemapping.com or www.spotcrime.com, where you can check up on all crimes that resulted in police reports being written by APD.  Tomorrow, March 31, 2017 will be my last post until I’m back in the office in mid-April.

 

Property Crimes Reported in the Foothills Area Command on Wednesday, March 29, 2017:  another gun stolen…

2 Stolen Vehicles:   12900-block of San Juan NE, 1100-block of Monte Alto Ct NE.

1 Commercial Burglary:  3900-block of Juan Tabo Blvd NE.  NOTE:  If you have a business in the Foothills Area Command (generally, east of Eubank within the city limits), I will be happy to meet you at the business and conduct a security survey to recommend crime prevention practices that can be put into place.  These security surveys are by appointment and I can be reached at the Foothills Substation (505) 332-5240.

6 Residential Burglaries:  300-block of Dunes SE, 1100-block of Monte Alto Ct NE, 3100 Jane Pl NE, 13400-block of Auburn Ave NE, 13700-block of Apache Plume NE, 10800-block of Cielito Lindo NE.  Entries:  Removed window screen to enter via unlocked window.  Back door left unlocked.  Removed window screen and entered via unlocked window.  Entry via back door, no damage noted – most likely left unlocked.  Cut through kitchen window screen and entered via window.  Kicked in back door.  Items Stolen:  A binder containing the family birth certificates and other items.  Vehicle, car keys, purse, watch and personal items. Microwave oven, laptop and a tablet.  Unsecured firearm.  Alcohol bottles moved around in the house.  Medications and cash stolen, things moved around.

4 Auto Burglaries:   3100-block of Morris St NE, 3000-block of Eubank Blvd NE, 1800-block of Nakomis Ct NE,  12000-block of Candelaria NE.  Entries:  Smash & grabs (breaking windows to access items left inside vehicles), damaged door lock, one attempt to steal the vehicle.  Items Stolen:  Purse, laptop and tools.  Taser (stun gun) and asp (collapsible baton).  Tools and equipment used to calibrate medical equipment.
