National Consumer Protection Week / Weekend Property Crimes / 16 guns stolen in March (Foothills)

National Consumer Protection Week:  The first full week of March is annual National Consumer Protection Week.  I will provide resources to readers throughout the week to build awareness.

16 Guns reported stolen in the Foothills Area Command during residential burglaries in the first 5 days of March.  Unsecured firearms endanger families and others in the community. 

Weekend Property Crime in the Foothills:  Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays for:  March 3 – 4 – 5, 2017

1 Armed Robbery/Residential (Home Invasion):  3000-block of Jane Place NE.  Caller let in ‘friends’ who stole passport, cell phone, wallet and laptop while armed with a shotgun. 

10 Stolen Vehicles:  400-block of Eubank Blvd NE, 200-block of Figueroa, 300-block of Western Skies SE, 400-block of Paisano, 12800-block of Copper, 700–block of Burma NE, 11100-block of Towner NE, 12100-block of Towner NE, 11500-block of Candelaria NE, 5100-block of Juan Tabo Blvd NE.

2 Commercial Burglaries:  12900-block of Central Ave NE, 11600-block of Menaul.

12 Residential Burglaries:  11100-block of Acoma SE, 200-block Serenity Ct SE, 300-block of Western Skies SE, 400-block of Dorado SE,13200-block of Chico Rd NE, 900-block of Tramway Blvd NE 1800-block of Mary Ellen NE, 11100-block of Ralph NE, 2700-block of Eubank Blvd NE, 900-block of Alice NE, 2300-block of Algodones NE, 11800-block of Indian School Rd NE.

Entries: Breaking/damaging doors and windows, walking in through unlocked doors. Items stolen:  vehicle, checks, tools, jewelry, purses and contents, prescription medications, tools, axe, shovel, 9 guns.  

8 Auto Burglaries:   2700-block of Camino De La Sierra NE, 12300-block of Lomas Blvd NE, 12400-block of Apache Place NE, 12200-block of Montgomery Blvd NE, two vehicles at the same address on the 11900-block of Holiday Ave NE, 11700-block of San Victorio Ave NE, 4500-block of Pitt St NE, Juan Tabo & Osuna NE at parking to access walking trails.

Entries:  Unlocked vehicles, damaging door locks, breaking windows.  Items stolen: stereo, amp, laptop, gym bag, purses, credit cards, IDs.
