Trending Tuesday: Over the past week or so I have seen a lot of auto burglary reports listing text books stolen from vehicles. You may not think of text books as hot ticket items or targets for auto burglars, but I have a feeling these items are being stolen so they can be exchanged for quick cash. It is important to clear out ALL items from parked vehicles when you park and walk away.
Three more guns reported stolen in the Foothills yesterday — if you have a firearm and it’s not in use, if it is properly secured you’ll reduce the odds of that firearm being stolen in a residential or auto burglary. We have one more day to go for the February Foothills Area Command property crime reporting; I’ll let you know the tally for the month of February on tomorrow’s post.
