Trending Tuesday: In the night stand, under the mattress, in the top drawer of the dresser, on the top shelf of closet in the bedroom. In the center console, under the driver’s seat, in the glove box, in the side panel of driver’s door. What type of list is this? Locations where guns are commonly kept unsecured and, consequently, stolen. We have a real problem city-wide with this issue of guns being left unsecured and then stolen during auto or residential burglaries. This is a tragedy waiting to happen within our community when well meaning citizens are inadvertently arming the criminal population. If you own a firearm, take responsible measures to properly secure that firearm.
