Reminder:  The Foothills Community Policing Council will be meeting on Monday, November 14th at 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Park Community Center at 11710 Comanche Rd NE.  These meetings are community-driven!  Please attend to learn more about your community and local law enforcement.  Questions about the Community Policing Council (CPC)?  Comments or questions can be directed to CPC Chair Carolyn Wilson at (505) 710-6075 or CPC Vice Chair Doug Brosveen (505) 263-1022 or CPC Facilitator Philip Crump (505) 989-8558.

Brrr it’s cold!  Remember, this is prime-time for those ‘warm up’ auto thefts when citizens tend to leave vehicles running and walk away.  These types of auto thefts always increase during the winter months.  Do not be tempted to leave the car running and walk away while the car heats up or to leave the car running while you make a quick stop.  These types of incidents are crimes of opportunity and they will be taking place all over the city.  These are 100% preventable crimes.
