Two more guns stolen over the weekend in burglaries in the Foothills Area Command.  For the safety of the community, please responsibly secure your firearms.  One was stolen from an unlocked vehicle and the other from a vehicle/garage accessed using a garage door opener.  I posted resources last week about how to research ways to secure your firearms and hosted a workshop in May at the Foothills Substation on this topic.  If you have any questions, I’d be happy to provide you  those resources if you call me at 323-4644 or email me at jcgarcia@cabq.gov.  My research shows 8 guns stolen so far in August during burglaries and auto thefts in the Foothills Area Command (as of 08/14/16).

Have a great week —
