Crime Prevention Tip of the Day: Four of the seven property crimes committed in the Foothills on Monday were to unsecured property (vehicles parked with windows rolled down and unlocked, unlocked doors at residences).  These types of targets are so easy from criminals to take advantage of; our role as citizens is to properly secure our own property.  Try to make it a personal habit and to teach your family members to check and check again to make sure windows and doors are secured, garage doors are closed, vehicles are locked.  With warmer weather coming, it may be tempting to ‘vent’ vehicles and garages and forget to lock windows — this increases the odds of being a target for a burglary.  Protect your home and your family by taking the extra step to double-check that you have secured your property.
