Crime Prevention Tips: Have you thought about who has a set of your vehicle or house keys lately?  Key custody is a component of crime prevention.  Go through your keys and be very careful about who you entrust with your keys.  Relationships may change over time and the person you trusted with your house or vehicle keys is no longer trustworthy.  Two of our cases yesterday in the Foothills appear to be involving just this aspect.

Our auto burglary haul yesterday by criminals included a purse, a Social Security card, an ID, various credit cards and a drivers license.  Help me help the community by spreading the word that we can no longer leave items of value in an unattended vehicle.  Bring all items of value inside with you when you park.  The items stolen yesterday can be used to commit further crime and I want you to protect yourselves.  Identity theft is a huge tangled mess to clear up and the burden is on the victim.  Don’t allow yourself to be in this position by property securing your personal documents, IDs, etc.
