Welcome our newest Neighborhood Watch group!

Last night the 12200-block of Phoenix NE qualified as a recognized Neighborhood Watch group in the Foothills Area Command.  We had a really good turnout at the facilitation meeting and Officer Brian Johnson and I answered some great questions from the group.   This is the APD Foothills Area Command’s 4th Neighborhood Watch group established this year.

Want to help your neighbors, your family and your police department?

Start a Neighborhood Watch group on your block.  Reignite one that has fizzled.  It’s easy.

Get a Starter Kit from APD Crime Prevention Manager Steve Sink by calling him at 244-6644.

I can also answer questions you may have about these groups.  It is nothing more complicated than being in touch with each other, getting training from me for block on what to watch for, and being willing to call police from a safe place if you see a suspicous incident or a crime in progress.

Welcome 12200-block of Phoenix NE, and thanks to Debbie and Matthew for serving a co-Block Captains and to Peter and Rachel for hosting the facilitation meeting.
